Th e aim of this literature research is to analyze the chronology of the concept of ̳diversification strategy.‘ The concept used in this paper is ̳corporate strategy.‘ The method utilized in this study is content analysis. The original contribution of th is re search is, firstly, to analyze the chronology of the concept of diversification strategy. This paper produces propositions related to the concept of diversification strategy. The conclusion of this research is that diversification strategy has vari ous mean ings, but it has impacts on performance. The drawback of this paper is incompleteness of definitions which occurs every year due to time constraints faced and sources used.
