ABSTRAK

This article is focused on written language acquisition in developing reading and writing materials for genre with a dialogue journal based instruction for the students of economics of University of Tridinanti Palembang (UTP ) . The aim of this study is to find out whether the development of reading and writing materials for genre with e - dialogue journal based were effective and had a potential effect on the students of FE UTP. Utilizing development research, the study is c onducted on the development of reading and writing materials for genre with a dialogue journal based instruction for the students of economics of University of Tridinanti Palembang .The data were collected through pre - test, post test and tryout. By the hel p of two raters, the data were analysed by using t - test. The main findings show that the students and lecturers of faculty of Economics believe that genre with e - dialogue journal was effective to develop their competency in both reading and writing. Thus, the results suggest that the reading and writing materials for genre with e - dialogue journal provide the students of economics with fun and more relaxed atmosphere. The results lead us to believe that the reading and writing materials fo genre with e - dial ogue journal based instruction was effective .
