ABSTRAK

This pape r will explain about the role of Islamic Organization in the development of Islamic education in Indonesia and Its Relationship History of Islam in the ASEAN region, and its network of education Islam in the context of history, especially related to the struggle of Muslims in the face of colonization to independence as well as the challenges of modernity that must be faced by the Muslim scholars in the region to defend the Islamic identity for the progress and continuity of effort t o modernize the educati on system better. Particularly in Indonesia there is cohesion between Islamic educations with the organization's history where Islam plays an important role in Islamic education elicits from colonization period until the modern era .
