ABSTRAK

hesis requires a huge internal factor, so students can overcome all obstacles that arise in doing the thesis on time. Motivation is the impetus that arises in individuals, and moves individuals to do activities. This study aims to determine the motivation of students of Guidance and Counselling department Muhammadiyah University of metro to finished their thesis on time. This research uses descriptive quantitative method, and data analysis uses descriptive descriptive analysis. The research sample is the students of guidance and counseling department who are academically feasible and have the right to prepare a thesis with a total of 54 students. The results of the study are presented in the form of motivation categorization tables and in diagrams. The results of the study are known that the motivation of students in the guidance and counseling study program has a high enough motivation to finishing the thesis on time. Based on the results of the research and discussion it can be concluded that: 1) the motivation to finishingl the thesis of the study program guidance and counseling has high motivation to complete the thesis on time, 2) Motivation is a very important factor for students to be able to overcome obstacles and obstacles in finishing the thesis on time, and 3 ) motivation can be built from the desire of students to achieve the ideals and encouragement of parents
